Googling Around...
While googling around one day I discovered this German review of the last Sol Dog album. I love reading these German reviews, because I don't speak German but I have access to Babel Fish. Here's where you can find the actual review.

But it becomes a true thing of beauty when you run it through a program like Babel Fish. If anyone speaks German and would like to tell me what this really says, I'd love to see a real translation! Here's what Babel Fish gave me:

The guitars, it saw hammer the piano… straight ahead and honky tonk… and, oh, the singer are a large one! The end of this yearly is paved with magnificent disks. SOL DOG spirit already a few years by the scene, published, were probably already two CD me so far only over relevant MP3-Downloadplattformen well-known and for its new album Johnny Neel as producers afforded.

All the more surprisingly the entrance is into the CD, because for (relative!) simple Boogie is Mr. Neel necessarily does not admit. Can' t and-arose is a completely hot candidate for the song of the yearly! The Armbehaarung stands perpendicularly and whips in the clock. Which for a melody bomb. Mitsingen, fast.

But that was only the beginning. " Whatever GET You There" emerges as miracle bag, with Leckereien between the ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION, the BLACK CROWES, young, wild ALLMAN BROTHERS and ZZ TOP in the LITTLE the FEAT Groove. In addition still little jam, like we it to us of WIDESPREAD PANIC and, more bluesiger, W.I.N.D on the roll tröpfeln leave - an outstanding Southern-Jam-Rock' is finished; n' Roll CD.

Still another word to Johnny Neel. That gezaubert a fantastic sound and a large Inspirator for the volume was completely obvious. For the Songwriting is those volume it powerfully in things put however completely alone responsibly and there. One gets so many 1A-Songs rarely on a panel supplied. Played they naturally also, and thus we are with the next highlight. Those are Gods!

At the guitar a certain Reverend is and lets a murderer-solo to the next out-fly, might with Jams such as A Midsummer Night' s some Dickey bed descendant duly shock and let the tones with absolute accuracy in the Rockerherzchen explode exactly.
Exactly like Ron Rifkin, man at the piano, who lends to which changes informally between mentioned Honky Tonk piano and surface covering organ cascades and not only accompanied, but the entire volume their identity. The therefore it & Bass Groovemaschine behind it, gives the remainder to the listener. The singing is anyway outstanding.

Six, eight or ten minutes per song are not for SOL DOG a problem. For the listener also, because he does not turn out never in danger to bore, on the contrary, with so many ideas and/or musical Schmankerln hopes himself one after straight for an extension. Thus even if those reproduce their song live in such a way, the sensation is approaching for us at all. One may hardly imagine the Southern guitar of the Reverend in the concert. Crying men everywhere the result might be.

Large art, loosely, unspent, under any circumstances verkopft, do not skirt-end and rolling, dragging along.

Gotta love it, huh? From "Those are Gods!" to "Crying men everywhere the result might be" to the final two words, "dragging along."
